Looped litter: Silicon wrist band
Outcome: After several days band came off

We responded to a Bonorong alert regarding a platypus seen with a loose, brightly colored band around its neck. We were able to located the platypus that day but due to high water flow following a storm were unable to remove the band which appeared to be a very loose fit indeed!

We briefly encountered the platypus over the coming days before sightings ceased. Not long afterwards the band was located on the edge of the waterway.
