Thanks for being a platypus patron!
Every week the Preps at St Michael’s Collegiate head down to the Hobart Rivulet for their outdoor learning ‘Muddy Maths’ session. After heavy rain, they were horrified by the amount of rubbish they could see. The students talked about why this might be happening and the flow on effect for the wildlife in the rivulet.
The Preps wanted to take action, so created the ‘Protect our Rivulet’ poster. They wanted to take it even further, so turned the poster into badges and sold them for the fund raiser. The proceeds were donated to Friends of the Hobart Rivulet Platypus, Wildcare Tasmania.
If only adults had such clarity and commitment to action!
